Thank you for using Redact (“Application” or “App”). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your information. This Privacy Policy explains how the Application processes information on your device.

Data Storage and Processing

Redact processes all data entirely on your device. Personal information or user-generated content is not transmitted to external servers and remains under your sole control. The only exception is payment processing, which is handled exclusively by Apple, Google, or authorized third-party processors as described below.

Device Permissions

The Application may request access to the following device features solely to provide its core functionality. All data accessed through these permissions is processed locally and never transmitted to external servers.

• Photo library — Import photos for local redaction
• Files and documents — Import PDF documents for local redaction

Payment Processing

• Payments are processed directly through the Apple App Store and/or Google Play Store
• Subscription management may be handled by authorized third-party processors (such as RevenueCat), subject to their own privacy policies
• We do not collect or store payment card details
• All transactions are handled securely by Apple, Google, or their authorized processors in accordance with their respective policies

Sharing of Information

Redact does not transmit or store personal information or user-generated content on external servers and therefore does not share such information with third parties. To the extent any information is in our possession, we may be required to disclose it when compelled by applicable law, regulation, or valid legal process.

Data Security

Redact does not transmit or store your information on external servers. All data remains on your device and is subject to its built-in security features, such as device encryption and screen lock. While these measures are robust, no storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Your Rights and Choices

Since Redact does not transmit or store personal information on external servers, all data generated within the Application remains on your device and may be removed by uninstalling the Application.

Data Retention

All data is stored locally on your device and remains there until you choose to delete it or uninstall the Application. Redact does not retain any data on external servers.

Children’s Privacy

The Application is not intended for children under the age of 13. Since Redact does not collect personal information, we do not knowingly process personal data from children. If you have concerns regarding a child’s use of the Application, please contact us.
